Title: thank you for
Fandom: Samurai Flamenco
Characters/Pairing: Gotou/Masayoshi
Rating: M
Length: 328
Summary: Masayoshi rolled his head and glared sleepily at the back of Gotou’s head, as he did not seem to be anywhere close to waking up due to the muted alarm.
“Ugggggh,” Masayoshi groaned, face-first into the pillow. It was cold in the room; Gotou had of course turned the heat down for the night, especially given how their recent activities kept them more than warm enough, but it meant that waking up and hauling out of bed in the morning was a cold and painful process.
Gotou’s cell phone was buzzing. It was on its charger, knocked to the floor and halfway under the bed. Gotou was still asleep, his back to Masayoshi and an obstacle to climb over if Masayoshi truly wanted to escape the confines of the bed. Masayoshi rolled his head and glared sleepily at the back of Gotou’s head, as he did not seem to be anywhere close to waking up due to the muted alarm.
He rolled over - that shifted the covers a bit and Gotou made a grumbling noise, but Masayoshi plastered himself to Gotou’s back, seeking body warmth. He pressed his cheek to the back of Gotou’s head, his hair surprisingly soft, and he closed his eyes.
It always surprised him, realizing how much he loved Gotou. It had become such a part of his daily existence that it almost seemed like he was taking it for granted; how his heart skipped a beat when Gotou smiled at him, how comforting it was to wake up in the same bed, how it felt like fireworks were caught in his stomach whenever Gotou kissed him tentatively, blushing infectiously.
Maybe he’d saved Gotou, but he was beginning to realize that maybe he had saved himself, too. Masayoshi smiled and kissed the back of his head as Gotou grunted, the buzzing of his cellphone alarm finally getting through. He nudged Gotou with the leg he’d entangled between Gotou’s for warmth. “Wake up, Gotou-san,” he whispered. “I love you.”
