Title: talk to me
Fandom: Samurai Flamenco
Characters/Pairing: Gotou/Masayoshi, Nick
Rating: T
Length: 477
Summary: The problem with sharing a bed with Masayoshi was that it was downright impossible to keep his hands to himself. That led, more often than not, to a very quick exit in the morning because they didn’t get as much sleep as initially planned for. Gotou straightened his tie in the changing room at the police box and sighed, he could feel the exhaustion headache starting behind his eyes. Coffee, he needed coffee….

Gotou straightened his tie in the changing room at the police box and sighed, he could feel the exhaustion headache starting behind his eyes. Coffee, he needed coffee….
“Gotou-san,” Totsuka said, from the doorway. “Late night again, hm?” Gotou somehow managed to not blush, and cleared his throat. “I thought I’d warn you as the paperwork came in on night shift, we’re getting a third officer on our shift rotation for the next few months.”
“Another officer?” Gotou said. “Short notice, isn’t it?”
“He had to be reassigned there was … trouble.” Totsuka raised an eyebrow. Gotou had - both directly and indirectly - caused his share of problems as well. “As well, you know I’m on vacation next week, so at least we won’t have to special-request a temporary loan.”
Gotou couldn’t suppress the yawn any longer, but he did manage to muffle it. “When will he arrive?” he asked, taking a seat at his desk and logging into the computer.
“Yo.” The officer seated at the desk opposite his said. Gotou leaped out of his seat, and Totsuka laughed at his reaction.
“How long has he - how long have you been there?"
"You walked right past him, I’m afraid.” Totsuka said, clearly still quite amused. “I’ll put some coffee on.”
“Please,” Gotou said, and tugged at the bottom of his jacket. Then he nodded to the other officer. “Gotou Hidenori,” he introduced himself.
“Nice to meet you, Gotou-san.” This officer had clearly recently graduated; he looked younger than Gotou was. “My name is Nicholas Elric, everyone calls me Nick.”
“Gaikokujin?” He was blond-haired, but his Japanese was flawless. But the name….
“Half. Born and raised in Tokyo, though.” He waved a hand in front of his face dismissively. “It’s always the name,” he said with a deep sigh.
“Elric!” Totsuka said as he came out of the back room. “Door duty, if you please.”
“Yes, sir!” Nick hopped up and headed out to stand outside the police box. Totsuka handed a grateful Gotou a cup of fresh coffee, and he sipped it as he glanced out the door. Well, at least things were getting interesting around here again….
