Akutagawa gave Atsushi a flat stare as Atsushi scrolled quickly on his phone. "This is the stupidest idea I've ever heard."
"It's not stupid." Atsushi didn't lift his eyes from his phone screen, unaffected by Akutagawa's displeasure. "Besides, they were free tickets. We just have to pick the movie."
"I have no desire to be boxed into a dark room with innumerable potential enemies and only one escape route."
Atsushi slowly looked up from his phone. "You're afraid of going to the movies."
Akutagawa bristled, although Atsushi wasn't able to see his eyes behind the dark glasses he wore in his civilian clothes. "I am afraid of nothing."
"I'll pick seats in the back," Atsushi said. "You can have your back to the wall, will that make you feel better?"
"I SAID I am not AFRAID," Atsushi yelped when Rashomon darted out and snatched his phone from his hands, "and we are not going to the movies-"
Atsushi whirled on Akutagawa. "If you crush my phone again no sex for a month!"
Akutagawa frowned. "That seems excessive."
"Phones are expensive, give it back." Atsushi held out his hand, but Rashomon held his phone still, her black head hovering over Akutagawa's shoulder. He waited and, after another moment, Rashomon finally released Atsushi's phone into his hands. "If you're going to be like this I'll just take Kyouka-chan, she'd probably enjoy a movie more than you would anyway."
"While her protection may be adequate, I suppose seats in the rear with full view of the other patrons will be an adequate compromise," Akutagawa said gruffly, and Atsushi shook his head but refrained from rolling his eyes. "What manner of film will we be viewing?"
"Not many choices left," Atsushi said, then shrugged and tapped the phone again. "Hope you like scary movies."
